This is my blog about the different types of books I read, mainly mystery, myths, and magic, and what I thought of them. I hope you like them, too.

Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children

Okay so I just finished reading a very peculiar book. Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children written by Ransom Riggs is unlike any novel I have ever read. For starters it is written around old fashioned pictures. Ransom Riggs has a Peculiar hobby. Collecting "pictures of people [he doesn't] know."
Using some of these types of pictures he created this story. In this novel Jake grows up hearing about his grandpa's extraordinary adventures."There was a girl who could fly, a boy who had bees living inside him, and a brother and sister who could lift boulders over their heads". His stories were fascinating when Jake was a kid, but as he got older he realized that that was all they were, stories. Or at least so he thought. One day Jake went to visit his Grandfather, only to find that he had been attacked. By what, you may be wondering. Well wolves of course. That is, if you listen to what the police are saying. Following the jumble of instructions his grandpa said in his final breath, he travels in search of the answers. Maybe it's just the fables of a scarred old man who lived threw the worst of WWII, or maybe it really is something extraordinary. In order to find out then you will have to read this peculiar tale for your self! As for recommendations, I absolutely LOVED THIS STORY!! In the link above Ransom Riggs created a trailer for his book. In the link over there ---> he describes A Most Peculiar Trip. This book was a little bit on the creepy side and Amazon suggests it to 13 year old and up. I would say it's about right, give or take a year depending on the reader. Subscribe and comment!
